Here, I have devotions that I have done that have helped me, I'll try to add one weekly!
GET OUT!
Nov.15.2023
This is one of the first things I had to realize... was getting out.
In Genesis 12:1 it says... "Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee." (KJV)
In this verse, God is talking to Abram and telling him to leave everything He knew and move away from everyone he loved. And go to a land he knew nothing about, so God could bless him. And in verse 4 of this chapter, we are told that Abram obeys and leaves.
Now. it doesn't say that Abram was dealing with any bad situation, but God still said it was time for him to move on. Sometimes, in order for God to use us, He has to tell us to get out and move on from where we are. Leaving loved ones behind, and familiar things.
When in a bad situation or environment, we can't heal from it unless we are out of it. Until we can see the picture from the outside. When we are outside looking in, we get a clearer picture of what we were in and how much we needed out.
In order to be healed, you first have to first want to be healed or helped. Because no one can help someone who isn't ready to be helped.
When given the opportunity to "get out of thy country" we have to actually get out, and not come back until it's fixed or God says to go back.
Bad situation, Good purpose.

Everyone knows the story of Joseph...
In Genesis 37:28 it says, "Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt."
Joseph, the favorite child of Jacob, given a coat of many colors, hated by his brothers, sold into slavery, thrown into prison by the lie of Potiphar's wife, released by order of Pharaoh to interpret his dream, and ends up saving the land from famine and forgives his brothers.
All he went through, was horrible, his situation was bad, and yet he trusted God and didn't quit serving Him. Although he had no idea that God was going to use the bad for good.
How many times are we going through something that is horrible, having no idea what God is doing, and it ends up being used to bless someone else for His glory.
When our families against us, when we get unjustly accused, or even unfairly punished, we have to remember not to get angry, and just remember God is gonna use it for something good later on!
Remember : "Don't be angry at God, because God is always good"
I need to remember God uses all things for good, even when I don't understand how He could.
Don't Forget
Dec.26.2023
Deuteronomy 6:12 says "Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage."
Here Israel is told not to forget the Lord and what He did for them. They are to remember how God brought them from a horrible situation of salary and bondage, to the promise land.
We must never forget where God brought us from, and how He makes broken things beautiful! No matter how ugly it seemed, God brought you through it.
So do not ever forget where God brought you from. And always be thankful He brought you out!
Stop wanting to go back to Egypt!
Jan.2.2024
Numbers 14:3-4 says
3" And wherefore hath the Lord brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?"
4 "And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt."(KJV)
The 12 spies go into Canaan to search out the land, and when they return back to camp, 10 of the spies complained to the children of Israel that the people were to big to conquer. So the people begin to complain that they would rather die in Egypt. The place where they were slaves, the place that God delivered them from, and the place that was horrible!
When out of a bad place, and put into a good place, we tend to want to go back to "Egypt", when things just get slightly difficult.
But why in the world do we wanna go back to the worst thing?
Here's the answer! It's because we are used to it! It's something you've always known. But rather than wanting to go back, we need to look forward. We are no longer bound to the past, we have to move into "Canaan" and conquer!
Stop thinking that you are the victim! If you have had the chance to get out, you are a survivor!
So, STOP TRYING TO GO BACK TO EGYPT!
Move forward even if you are scared. Have faith in God that He knows what He's doing.
Facing the Giant
Jan.10.2024
1 Samuel 17:45 says "Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied."
We all know or at least heard of David and Goliath. David trusted God to help him take the giant down.
Was he afraid? Probably! Did he run away? No! He faced Goliath because He knew God was going to give Him the victory!
But, how often do we face a giant and panic that we won't have victory? The problem seems so big and bad, that there is no way that it would ever move.
But IF we would just have faith and trust that God knows what He is doing, that giant will fall!
When there is a giant in your path that you have to face, Trust!-Have faith!-And look to God! He will give you the victory! So, Do not be afraid! Be like David and face it, and Goliath will fall down!
The Perfect Way!
Jan.17.2024
2 Samuel 22:31,33 says "31 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. 33 God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect."
A lot of the time we act frustrated, or discouraged when things don't make sense in our lives.
When things get messy and and complicated, we either get mad, depressed, or upset, etc...
But we have to remember that God's way is always perfect!
Even when we don't understand why we have to go through what we are going through.
God has a plan and a purpose for the struggle and the pain.
In order for God to use me (you) for something, He has to put us through something!
Remember: Trust that God knows what He is doing even if hurts.
Have Joy!
Feb.19.2024
Philippians 4:4 says "Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice."
A lot of the time when we are faced with a trial, or a heart ache we tend to complain about the circumstances. But rather than looking at all the negative and making ourselves more upset by dwelling on it, be joyful! Rejoice! Always! In every circumstance! Good or Bad! Rejoice! There is always something to rejoice in, even if takes a little longer to find it.
When we dwell on the negative part of the situation we are not helping our bodies. By dwelling on negativity it can lead to depression, anxiety, damages your immune system, depletes the brain cells required for happiness.
And dwelling on negativity can lead to having headaches, chest pain, fatigue, upset stomach, sleep problems or insomnia, social withdraw, and drastic changes in metabolism (overeating/undereating).
But when we have joy we boost our immunity, improve heart health, reduce stress, enables better sleep, and improves your diet.
So have joy!- Be healthy. Remember there is always something to be joyful about!
